Mrs. Debbie Arnold

Fort Vermillion School Division’s pilot project, “Mental Health Capacity Building for Children and Families”, is sponsored by the Government of Alberta Health and Wellness. The aim of this project is to increase the coping behaviors, knowledge and skills of children to enable them to make better choices and adopt behaviours to protect their mental and physical health.  Within a school-based setting the worker develops and implements therapeutic intervention strategies to support, strengthen and stabilize the child and family.  The worker’s primary role is to act as counselling support to children and families experiencing personal and emotional difficulties.
